Just For Fun gives Freshers a reason to PARTY!

The Just For Fun stall at the recent Freshers Fayre was ablaze with colour as hundreds of balloons adorned our Hawaiian Tiki Hut showing students we were the place to be.

The staff helped set the atmosphere by wearing a variety of fancy dress including a Morphsuit, Where’s Wally, a Geek and showing off our range of Halloween Contact Lenses.
The 6 person BeerBong we took as a prop certainly attracted a large amount of attention as you would expect from the student community!

As well as giving away balloons, Hawaiian Leis and lollipops we also handed out a countless amount of 20% off vouchers which if you have, by the way, expire on 20 October 2010 so not long left to use them.

Just For Fun Southampton Plays Host To Sky 1

Our Southampton Branch lent itself last week to a Sky 1 Production Team filming a new ‘DOGumentary’.

The subject was Richard Curtis, a world renowned Canine Freestyler. It might sound a bit obscure, but think of Kate and Gin or Tina and Chandi from Britain’s Got Talent and you get the idea - dancing dogs!

The film crew (who also filmed Pineapple Dance Studios) shadowed Richard and his Chihuahua Betty perusing our costumes hoping to get inspiration for a new routine.

Richard likes to use fancy dress to enhance his act and has previously dressed up as a Clown, Army Soldier, in Top Hat and Tails and more.

Betty the dog showed off some of her skills whilst dancing around a Halloween goblet and also posed on top of a viking hat for the crew whilst staff and customers looked on.

Look out for the programme due to be aired in November.

Famous Fancy Dress - Our Southampton Branch Serves Top Celebrities!

Just For Fun Southampton was buzzing last week as we had a visit from not one, not two but THREE celebrities!

Spamalot, a "musical lovingly ripped off from Monthy Python and The Holy Grail", has been at the Mayflower Theatre and it appears the cast and crew was having fun off stage as well as on with a fancy dress party.
Marcus Brigstocke and Hayley Tamaddon popped in together and after a quick chat we got down to the business of kitting them out for an S party. Marcus opted for Spiderman wheras Hayley chose to be a schoolgirl.

Just as we closed, Todd Carty was knocking on the door and he managed to revisit his Grange Hill past by buying a school tie. Lots of jokes ensued!

Unfortunately for them though, it was a fellow crew member who won the Best Dressed competition by dressing up in our Hire Department’s Snow White costume. Not too original, you say? I should point out that HE dressed as Snow White and had a wig, shoes and even tights on!
